How were the responsibilities for the UX team created?
First draft
To begin with, I prepared a draft list of responsibilities based on previous documents that were created for recruitment. Taking over the reins of the UX team, I was put in a difficult position. The team was reduced by 3 people in an instant. Therefore, the first drafts of the responsibilities were only for the roles we were recruiting for.
Consultation with the team
Every member of the team could (even should) share his or her opinion on the list of responsibilities. Everyone had time to review the draft beforehand. After joint discussion and amendments, the document was finally approved by everyone. When signing the first contract or agreement after promotion, each person was given a list of responsibilities. The list needed to be read and signed.
